Jeep Patriot: Combining Ruggedness, Functionality and Style

March 2011

The Jeep Patriot is a compact crossover sports utility car manufactured by the Jeep marquee of Chrysler. It is available in four models: Sport 4x2, Sport 4x4, Latitude 4x2, and Latitude 4x4, with more features packed into the Latitude model.

The 2011 Jeep Patriot features its traditional and classic exterior design with a more ruggedized appearance. The front and rear fascia are new, but the seven-slot grille remains a signature. Other new things to expect in the 2011 Patriot exteriors are its 17 inch painted aluminium wheels, halogen headlamps and fog lamps, four new colours, and body side cladding for a more rugged appeal. And just as how it looks rugged on the outside, the Patriot features sophisticated interiors with its well appointed door trims, premium leather-trimmed seats, chrome accents, carpeted cargo floor, and overall upscale interior finishes.

The Patriot also has a U-Connect system, which is Jeep’s approach to today’s highly connected technology. Its multimedia features allow you to listen to your favourite songs, be in tune to news, sports, and talk shows while driving! It has a voice command feature, making it very user-friendly and safe to use when on the go. U-Connect also give you directions to a particular destination over the speakers, so your eyes are kept on the road. It also comes with an in-car router which receives 3G broadband internet.

And when it comes to music – the Patriot does not disappoint. Music lovers can opt for a Premium Sound Group which has two lift gate speakers and a nine-speaker Boston Acoustics sound system when they get the Latitude models. Audio controls are mounted in the steering wheel, so adjusting the volume becomes convenient. If you had your eyes set on a Sport, don’t worry. The Patriot Sport comes with a standard four-speaker sound system featuring a 6x9-inch speaker in each door for that dynamic quality sound.

Latitude buyers – here’s yet another bonus for you: front-row heated seats. Especially called for when driving on a cold winter day, these heated seats, a standard in the Latitude models, allow the driver and front-seat passenger to treat themselves with extra warmth, which can also be used to soothe muscle and back aches. With regards to security, the Jeep Patriot offers wheel locks to prevent wheel and tire theft, remote keyless entry, and security alarm. Against accidents, the Patriot features a Hill Descent Control, Electronic Stability Control, Antilock Brake System, Brake Assist, All-Speed Traction Control, and Electronic Roll Mitigation, depending on the model you choose.

Those are just some features of the Jeep Patriot. To know more, be sure to check their website or talk with a sales representative to schedule a test drive.
